WOMXN OF CLASSICAL MUSIC on STINGRAY CLASSICA

At Music is her passion, we continue celebrating the work of females in music beyond International Women's Day. This month, we have teamed up with the team of the Stingray Classica App in a special dedicated to magnificent women of classical music!

Women of classical music in the Stingray Classica App.

So far, the month of March has been all about discovering and introducing the female forces of classical music. We took on a journey through the history of womxn's conductors, shone a light on the work of contemporary composers, and discussed equality empowerment with female leaders of the classical music world, Konstantia Gourzi, and Romely Pfund. In order to introduce and bring the wonderful work of even more professionals of the classical music genre even closer to you, we are now collaborating with the Stingray Classica App.

Get virtual front-row seats to concerts of the magnificent pianist sisters Katia and Marielle Labéque, Sol Gabetta, conducting pioneer Marin Alsop, Anu Tali, pianist legend Martha Argerich and many more.

The Stingray Classica App brings world-class concerts, prestigious opera performances, enchanting ballets, and intriguing music documentaries to the homes of all music lovers. The app's catalog of over 1000 videos of classical content also presents you with the work of plenty of wonderful women! This month, equality ambassadors can enjoy the magnificent work of female music professionals at their fingertips in the Women’s Day Special, including a line-up of the finest classical content, interpreted by renowned women soloists and conductors.

It is our mission to create an equality-empowering community of and for women in music of all genres, cultures and backgrounds of the world. With this special, we bring female forces from all over the world to you: Argentinian pianist legend Martha Argerich, Latvian operatic soprano Kristine Opolais, American-born Greek soprano Maria Callas, German Elisabeth Schwarzkopf, and of course, one of our favorites, conducting pioneer Marin Alsop! Marvel at their excellent performances and discover more women of classical music in the Classica Women's Day special - and stay tuned for more content on our blog.
